Mountain Equipment Aerostat Synthetic 7.0 Sleeping Mat – Long
The Mountain Equipment Aerostat Synthetic 7.0 Sleeping Mat is a synthetically insulated sleeping mat that gives high levels of warmth, exceptional comfort and a small pack size.
With Exped® patented construction the Aerostat Synthetic 7.0 Mat uses durable 30 denier Nylon ripstop fabric and robust welded construction. It’s suitable for year round backpacking and mountaineering. A custom valve combines inflation and deflation and the supplied stuff sack doubles as a pump.

Windsock:
The best method we have yet found to inflate a sleeping mat. After numerous prototypes and iterations we have developed the Windsock™. A design which offers rapid, easy, and reliable inflation without the need for heavy or gimmicky accessories. The Windsock™ works equally well whether in the thin air of the Himalaya or valley camping in the Alps.
Gas Mask Valve:
Our Gas Mask valve is 2-way and allows a user to inflate their mat without fear of air escaping, but allows the user to dump air out quickly when it’s time to strike camp. Our custom-developed design makes identifying the correct valve parts easy.
Optimised:
Vertically aligned baffles and internal foam plugs combine to achieve the highest possible R-value ratings for their weight. Constructed with a puncture-resistant 30d outer fabric and featuring hydrolysis resistant protective coatings, they balance the need for durability with the equally important needs of low weight and packability. Making use of highly resilient POLARLOFT® insulation, the Aerostat Synthetic 7.0 Mat features 70mm deep insulated air chambers to reduce convective heat loss and provide a luxurious cushion of air upon which to lie.
